“Sleep training with Jillian was the best decision we made since we decided to have our daughter! It has, hands down, changed our lives for the better. Our 3 month old was only contact napping and was up multiple times per night. We were apprehensive about trying but Jillian's patience and expertise helped calm our anxieties and within a few days our baby girl was sleeping independently for naps and typical getting 12 hour bouts of sleep for night. She's 5 1/2 months now and has continued to have this routine! Jillian gave us the tools to help our daughter (and us!) get better quality sleep and taught us how to continue this past her two week course. Could not recommend her enough!”

Crying it out wasn’t an option for us and from the very beginning Jillian reassured us.

“We can’t even begin to thank Jillian. Our son CJ is 11 months old. Prior to meeting Jillian and starting sleep consultation we would dread the second 7pm came around. As first time parents we were lost when it came to teaching him how to sleep. Once the evening came it just felt like an extension to an already  long day. It always felt like we could never quite catch up on sleep.

From the moment we met her she reassured us we can meet the goals and teach him lovingly to self soothe and that sleep is awesome. Crying it out wasn’t an option for us and from the very beginning Jillian reassured us. The very first consult she gave us tips to prepare us for what we will be doing. We tried her tips and right away CJ slept 9 hours! We couldn’t believe it. Just went to show he was just as tired and cranky as we were. As the nights went on he only continued to improve. We went front dreading 7pm and taking 4-5 hours to put the baby down, only to have him wake up every two hours throughout the night, to having him sleep 11-12 hours a night with a ten min nighttime routine. No more night feeds either. Same for naps. Down in ten minutes and if he does wake during the night  he puts himself back to sleep. 

We feel like we have our lives back. We can eat dinner, watch a movie and actually sleep!! All without feeling guilty. Thank you so much Jillian!!! We HIGHLY recommend her. She is supportive every step of the way. Understanding and always ready to help. If you’re considering sleep training DO IT WITH HER. The only question you’ll be asking yourself is how did I not do this sooner!!”

“Miles graduated sleep school! We are blown away by the sleeping progress he’s made in the past two weeks, all thanks to Jillian, our amazing sleep consultant.

Having previously had a natural-born sleeper (Reid), we thought round two would be easy because obviously we were incredibly wonderful parents who knew exactly what to do. Boy were we wrong. The past few months have been HARD as Miles needed a little more guidance than we knew how to provide. We were all exhausted all the time. AND you better believe I’ve spent hours upon hours researching baby sleep in my “free” time trying to help him get the rest his body needed, but we were still not getting it.

But more than us, Miles was not getting enough sleep either. He was kinda cranky a lot of the time, slowly decreasing in his weight percentile, getting less & less sleep for naps (30 minutes at most) and needing more & more help to fall back asleep at night. This was not sustainable for us, especially while working from home, going to grad school and raising an active toddler.

Then comes Jillian…

I was super nervous but trusted her gentle, supportive and non judgemental approach as we started talking about our sleep routines and patterns. In just a few nights, Miles went from sleeping a few hours by himself (at most & with a lot of intervention) to sleeping for almost the full night by himself. Then after a few more nights, he began sleeping the ENTIRE night- almost 12 hours-  by himself: no paci pops, no rocks or shushing back to sleep, no nursing back to sleep, just sleep!

I am amazed. He is also starting to figure out his naps slowly but surely. After 10 days, he has started increasing his naps from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. And getting consistent. CONSISTENT! It’s amazing. Miles is drinking more milk than ever (which has been my biggest worry over the past four months). He seems proud of himself when he wakes up from a good nap. His temperament has improved, smiling so much more, staying content and calm during his awake time. And, sleep seems to be an enjoyable experience for him now rather than an upsetting & scary one.

Over the past two weeks, Jillian has been such an incredible guide. She is knowledgeable, accessible and very kind.  She guided us through our daily sleep routines, answered all my 101 questions, adjusted our plan as needed and gave us direction on how to move forward. I am blown away at where we are today from what our day-to-day looked like two weeks ago.

2020 has been hard for everyone. The highlight of our year was, of course, welcoming Miles into our family. And helping him learn how to sleep with Jillian’s kind and compassionate direction has been exactly what we’ve needed to kick off 2021 with a new sense of hope from a well-rested family. Jill, we can’t say thank you enough for helping us through this process!”

“We can’t thank Jillian enough for her personalized and caring support throughout the process of sleep training our son, Everett! Prior to sleep training, Everett was a fairly good sleeper once he fell asleep, but he was completely dependent on us to get to that point.  Getting him to sleep would require a perfect combination of pacifier, bouncing, rocking, and singing which we would often have to repeat 8 or 9 times for the first 3 hours of the night.  We shared our goals with Jillian of simplifying his sleep routine, reducing his dependency on sleep props (nursing, bouncing/rocking/singing, pacifier, Merlin sleep suit), transitioning him into his own room, and finding a more predictable nap schedule.  Jillian has an incredibly calm and reassuring presence that was immensely helpful during the first few difficult nights.  She was there for any questions or support and reassured us that we were not alone in the process. With Jillian’s guidance, we were able to teach Everett to self soothe with gradually less dependency on us each night over the 14 days and we accomplished every one of our goals! We are still in awe that we can lay Everett down after his predictable and short bedtime/naptime routine, then watch on the monitor as he calmly and quickly falls asleep without any protest.  Our nights are now ours again to enjoy dinner together, catch up on work, and recharge.  We would recommend Jillian to anyone looking to solve any range of sleep challenges with total confidence that she will help them accomplish their goals!”

“Violet graduated from sleep training this week! We originally wanted to start sleep training when Vi was 3.5 months, needless to say, she was not ready. We collectively decided to put a hold on sleep training until Vi was 4.5 months old. In the beginning I was completely skeptical. I didn’t understand the benefit of short wake windows, I just didn’t understand how this would work. The first 2 days were a bit rough but we got through it. By day 3 our Violet got the hang of it, it’s literally night and day difference. We went from holding Vi for all of her naps, to now putting her in the pack in play for all naps including bedtime. The best part is that we are able to put Vi down for sleep, and my husband and I are able to spend quality time together. 

The biggest reason I chose to work with Jillian is that she doesn’t believe in the cry it out method. She is extremely knowledgeable about child sleeping. She is extremely patient and attentive. We were in constant communication the entire time of sleep training. My mother in law also was able to communicate openly with Jillian. 

This experience was a blessing for sure. I work long hours as a nurse practitioner, and having Vi become a better sleeper is a game changer and honestly a necessity. If you are on the fence, do it! It pays off 10 fold in the long run. It’s hard work, but it’s sooo worth it. Good sleep is a necessity! We are forever grateful.”
